Terms of use
These terms are an agreement between you and Juto Technology Services Limited, the company that builds and sells Juto. They govern your use of getjuto.com, the waitlist, and, if you subscribe, the Juto product itself. By visiting the site, submitting the waitlist form, or creating a Juto account, you accept them. If you are acting for a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it, and “you” means the company.
About this site
The site describes Juto, a multi-market accounting platform. Juto is sold on subscription in the markets shown on the pricing page. Where signup has not yet opened in your market, the site takes waitlist registrations instead. Features and timelines described for markets or capabilities that are not yet available are forward-looking and may change.
The waitlist
Submitting the waitlist form is an expression of interest. It does not create an account, a contract, a guarantee of access, or a price commitment. We may invite you to a paid pilot, a free trial, or a waitlist update; we may also choose not to, for any reason, including market focus and capacity.
Subscriptions
Your account
A subscription belongs to an organisation, and the person who creates it becomes its first administrator. Administrators control who else can join, what they can do, and the organisation’s billing. You are responsible for keeping sign-in details confidential and for everything done under your organisation’s accounts. Tell us at support@juto.app as soon as you suspect unauthorised access.
Plans, prices and tax
The plans, their limits, and their monthly and annual prices are those shown on the pricing page for your market at the time you subscribe, and on each invoice afterwards. Prices are shown before tax. Any tax that applies in your country, such as VAT, is added at checkout and you see the total before you pay. Your market, and therefore your currency and payment processor, is fixed when the organisation is created.
We may change prices for a plan. A change applies to you from your next renewal after we have given administrators at least thirty days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Trials, renewals, cancellation and refunds
Where a plan offers a free trial, you provide a payment method to start it and are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the paid period or immediately. Subscription payments are not refundable, except where we charged you in error or the law in your country gives you a right to a refund that cannot be excluded. The detail, including what happens when a payment fails, is in our refunds and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
Payment
Payments are taken by a third-party payment processor. Juto never stores your full card details. By providing a payment method you authorise us to charge it for the subscription, its renewals, any add-ons you choose, and applicable tax. If a payment fails, your organisation may be placed in read-only mode and eventually cancelled, as the refunds and cancellation policy describes.
Your data
The accounting records, documents and other data you put into Juto belong to you. You grant us the right to host, process and back them up in order to provide the service, and to use them in anonymised, aggregated form to improve it. You can export your data at any time, including after your subscription ends. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for your own statutory filings; Juto assists with preparing them but does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice.
Acceptable use of the product
You agree to use Juto only for lawful bookkeeping and finance work for organisations you are authorised to act for. You must not use it to launder money, evade tax, or record transactions you know to be false; resell or provide it to third parties as a service; attempt to gain access to other customers’ data; or reverse-engineer, copy, or interfere with the software. We may suspend an organisation that breaches these terms and will tell its administrators why.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Juto available around the clock and to give reasonable notice of planned maintenance. Support is by email at support@juto.app on working days. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Acceptable use of the site
You agree not to:
- Submit false personal data through the waitlist form, or impersonate another person or company.
- Probe, scan, or attempt to compromise the site or its underlying infrastructure.
- Scrape the site at volumes that interfere with normal traffic, or for commercial repackaging of its content.
- Use the site or any data obtained from it for unlawful purposes under Nigerian, UK, or EU law.
Intellectual property
The Juto and JutoAI names, the wordmark, the visual design, the software, the copy on this site, and any product mockups (including the dashboard preview and reconciliation queue illustrations) are the property of Juto Technology Services Limited. You may share links to the site freely. Republishing the design or copy as your own, or training a generative model on it, is not permitted.
Names of partner companies referenced on the site (e.g. UBA) belong to those companies and are used only to describe the partnership. No endorsement is implied beyond what is stated.
Disclaimers
The site and the product are provided on an “as is” basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep them accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that they are error-free, uninterrupted, or current to the minute. Where the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Juto Technology Services Limited’s total liability arising from your use of the marketing site is limited to NGN 1,000 (or its equivalent in your local currency), and its total liability arising from a subscription is limited to the fees you paid for that subscription in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business, or for penalties arising from a filing you made on the basis of your own records. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Privacy
Personal data submitted through the waitlist, processed by site analytics, or handled when you subscribe is covered by our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time as the product evolves. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the latest version. Material changes will be emailed to everyone on the waitlist and to every organisation’s administrators at least thirty days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, except where mandatory consumer protection rules in your country grant you the right to bring a claim locally.
